The steering and suspension systems work together to orient your car on the road. As you turn the steering wheel, the steering system translates that motion to your wheels, taking you where you want to go. The suspension system keeps your tires in contact with the road, reacts to your steering, and minimizes bouncing.
Malfunctions in either of these systems can affect the responsiveness of your car to your steering and the comfort of your ride. And poor handling, excessive bouncing and other steering and suspension issues all affect vehicle safety. If you notice a change in how your car steers or feels, bring it in for evaluation and repairs.
Power Steering Fluid Exchange
The power steering pump pressurizes the power steering fluid to make turning the steering wheel easier. It also lubricates the steering system components. If the power steering fluid becomes contaminated, it is less effective and can damage the steering system.
For maximum protection and performance, we recommend changing out the power steering fluid every 2 years or as often as the vehicle manufacturer recommends.
