Community Involvement
As a leader in the auto repair industry, we try to set a good example. In addition to volunteering our time, Virginia Tire & Auto donates its resources to assist local non-profit organizations that benefit our community. Listed below are a few of the organizations that we are proud to have supported.
Virginia Tire & Auto was a proud host of the Spirit of Liberty Foundation’s “Crossing of America Tour”. The mission of the Spirit of Liberty Foundation is to enhance the meaning of Liberty and to support our Armed Forces and their families, with emphasis on Wounded Warriors and Families of Fallen Heroes.
In 2011, Virginia Tire & Auto teamed up with the organization Any Soldier to send 115 care packages to our troops serving overseas in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Since 2005, Virginia Tire & Auto has been a proud sponsor of the In Hope Freedom Rings Foundation, which provides $10,000 scholarships to outstanding Fairfax County high school seniors based on academic excellence, financial need, extracurricular activities, and community service.
Virginia Tire & Auto of Springfield served as a drop-off location for books in connection with the Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce’s book drive. The books were later distributed to local elementary age students in time for summer reading.
In 2011, Virginia Tire & Auto also supported organizations such as In Between the Lines Sports (a nonprofit organization operated by Redskins alumnus) and the Stars and Stripes Charity Softball Tournament (benefitting the Pat Tillman Foundation). Virginia Tire & Auto has also sponsored the following events this year: Greenspring Benevolent Care Fund Casino Royale Event 2011, Somerset Olde Creek swim team, Congressional Schools of Virginia 2011 Gala and Auction, Freedom High School PTA Golf Tournament, Little River Elementary Halloween PTA, Colonial League All Star Meet Hosted by the Countryside Waves Swim Team and the Cormac Finn McCarty Foundation.
