Virginia Tire & Auto of Cascades Receives ASE Blue Seal of Excellence Recognition
(Fairfax, VA – December 12, 2012) – Virginia Tire & Auto (www.vatire.com), the Fairfax-based leading full-service provider of automotive maintenance, repair and tire services, is pleased to announce that its Cascades location (46655 Algonkian Parkway, Sterling, VA) received Blue Seal of Excellence recognition from the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE). ASE is the only nationally recognized independent organization in the United States that tests and certifies automotive service professionals, distinguishing those who have a high degree of commitment to automotive excellence and training. To qualify for Blue Seal of Excellence recognition, 75 percent of the auto repair facility’s technicians must be ASE-certified.

Our goal is to obtain ASE Blue Seal of Excellence Recognition at each of our 11 locations.”
Only 1,574 shops in the United States have qualified for the Blue Seal of Excellence Recognition Program and of those, only 40 such auto repair facilities are located in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Virginia Tire & Auto now has five locations certified in this elite group of auto repair facilities.
Company-wide, Virginia Tire & Auto employees hold more than 270 individual ASE certifications including engine repair, automatic transmission/transaxle, manual drive train & axles, suspension & steering, brakes, electrical/electronic systems, heating & air conditioning, and engine performance.
Virginia Tire & Auto recently hosted its first annual ASE recognition event celebrating technicians and other staff who qualified for ASE Blue Seal of Excellence Recognition.

There are more than 370,000 professionals who hold ASE certifications and must be retested every five years to maintain ASE and Master certification.
