Factory Certified Technicians
Virginia Tire & Auto prides itself on employing a team of technicians who bring a wealth of experience and a passion for great service to every job. We have experienced ASE factory certified technicians and service managers at all of our locations. Combined, our technicians have more than 100 ASE certifications. Many of our technicians boast over 20 and 30 years of experience working on all makes and models. Likewise, many of our service managers are former technicians and most have at least 15 years on the job. Plus, all of our technicians participate in on going training to stay abreast of the latest vehicle innovations and repair technologies. We make sure that our technicians’ knowledge base evolves as quickly as the cars you drive.
We perform general service repairs as well as more complicated computer diagnostic repairs. Our state-of-the-art diagnostic tools and highly trained technicians allow us to tackle all of your automotive needs.
Technician Spotlight
Chris Allen – Main Street Shell
Chris Allen has been a part of the Virginia Tire & Auto family since 1982, spending the last 29 years as the go-to technician at Main Street Shell in Fairfax City.
His favorite vehicles to work on are Japanese and Domestic models. “I like to work on the kind of cars that I am likely drive—what average people drive” says Chris. Chris has two F-350 pick-ups, one from 1979 and one from 1997. That must explain why he is partial to the Domestics. And with 11 ASE certifications, Chris is equipped to tackle and repair any strange noise, rattle or other car ailment that comes his way. Chris describes himself as an “outdoor guy” so when he is not working, Chris enjoys tending to his yard, playing with his collection of tools and visits to Toms Brook, Virginia. Chris has a lot of Virginia-pride and also enjoys travelling around his home state. Chris resides in Fairfax City with his wife, Jean, and has one step-daughter.
